DIN EN 60529
El grado de protección indica la idoneidad de los equipos eléctricos para diversas condiciones ambientales. El grado de protección se declara mediante el código IP, que consta de dos dígitos. El primer dígito describe la protección contra cuerpos extraños, el segundo dígito indica la protección contra la entrada de agua.
