PLASTIC CONTROL CABINET FLEET

Switch cabinets made of sheet steel are often expensive to purchase and have a high weight. This often leads to additional costs, both in terms of logistics and handling. Usually indispensable for EMC-critical applications, sheet steel cabinets can be dispensed with in many cases. Switch cabinets of the Fleet series from BOXEXPERT offer a cost-effective alternative made of plastic.

The wall cabinet housing is made of very light acrylonitrile butadiene styrene copolymer (ABS for short), which results in a weight saving of about 50% for the same housing size. Despite the lower mass, the Fleet enclosure series proves to be a robust alternative and has an impact resistance of IK08. ABS plastic has a high resistance to alkali, oils and salts. In contrast to metal enclosures, the Fleet series has the advantage of being resistant to corrosive loads without the need for further coating of the enclosure surface.

Especially the use in outdoor areas requires an effective sealing of the electronic components against external influences. The plastic enclosures of the Fleet series have a foamed-in seal made of polyurethane (PU for short). The PUR seal is low-wearing and robust against weathering and ageing. The polyurethane proves to be elastic and resistant even when the control cabinet door is operated frequently.

In addition to the properties of the ABS plastic, the housing seal also ensures a housing protection rating of IP65. The housing is therefore suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

The enclosures of the BOXEXPERT series Fleet have a hinged door, which is optionally available in grey or transparent. To protect against unauthorized access to the mounted internals, each enclosure has a door lock with double-bit key as standard. As an optional accessory, each Fleet enclosure can be fitted with a special security lock to provide increased security against unauthorised opening.

The control cabinet of the Fleet series offers plenty of space for mounting various electronic components. For easy mounting, a mounting plate made of galvanized steel is included in the supplied accessories. By means of this plate, all components can be mounted outside the housing in the simplest way and then fastened with the plate inside the housing at the domes provided for this purpose. In addition to the mounting plate, special mounting brackets are included in the accessories supplied. These allow the enclosure to be wall mounted without further machining of the enclosure rear panel. The corresponding screws are also supplied.
