LEAR HOUSING WITH SHARNING SCREWS

Rarely are electronics housings installed with the lid facing up. However, the more often the electronics in the empty housing have to be accessed, the more often the lid has to be removed. The Hanse-SSR series offers the possibility of opening the lid without having to remove it completely. As with a door, the polyamide lid screws can be used as hinges. In addition, the hinge screws offer the advantage that they do not wear out, nor do the screw holes fray with frequent use. The principle here is that the screws have three different screw positions: closed, hinge function, released.

EXTERNAL

The housings of the Hanse-SSR series have a protection class of IP 65 and are therefore suitable for outdoor use. The plastics used are UV-resistant and guarantee a long service life even when exposed to the elements. Cable entry in compliance with the protection class can be achieved, for example, using cable glands or cable entry grommets from BOXEXPERT.

Hinge screws

The Hanse-SSR enclosures are distinguished by the hinge screws used to secure the lid. An intermediate step when loosening the cover screws offers the possibility to use the cover like a door. This makes occasional work on the fixtures immensely easier.

Transparent or grey

The Hanse-SSR enclosures are available with the same dimensions, each with a grey or transparent cover. This means that the user is not restricted to one cover colour due to the size of the housing, but has maximum flexibility here.

Transparent vs. grey
Empty housings offer the possibility of accommodating various internals. A distinction must be made between fixtures that are used purely for functional purposes and signal lamps and indicators that must be visible from the outside. In this case, the user can decide whether the upper part of the housing should be grey or transparent.

Since the Hanse-SSR series offers identical enclosure sizes with both transparent and grey lids, the lid colour is not limited by the required enclosure size, providing maximum flexibility.

Hinge screws
If the operator has to open the enclosure mounted on the wall or on a system frequently in order to have access to the internals, the question often arises as to what happens to the cover. The Hanse-SSR series offers the advantage of polyamide hinge screws for this case. These provide a regular lid attachment when screwed in. An intermediate step when loosening the screws makes it possible to use them as a hinge and thus the lid as a kind of door. The enclosure series thus combines the advantages of an industrial enclosure with the benefits of a control cabinet.
