Industrial housing St. Pauli

The wall-mounted enclosures made of robust plastic of the St. Pauli series are optionally made of polycarbonate or ABS. The series name St.Pauli is no coincidence; as fast-moving as this part of town is, as quickly and easily the universal housing can be installed. Due to its light weight, it is particularly practical to handle and was designed for the purpose of saving time and money during assembly and installation. Despite these features, the housing meets the recognized quality standards and its technical properties make it suitable for indoor and outdoor applications without any problems. Even the high impact resistance of IK07 The halogen-free plastic is UV-resistant and weatherproof. Even at extreme temperatures between -40°C to +60°C and harsh environmental conditions such as frost, extreme heat, hail or heavy rain, this wall-mounted housing guarantees the protection of the installed electronics and the longevity of the housing itself.

The connection between the housing cover and the underside is made via a seal of low-wear polyurethane. Both the seal and the plastic housing itself provide secure protection for all electronic internals against external environmental influences. Not only against water jets, humidity and rain, but also against frost and extreme temperatures. The high-quality plastic and the polyurethane gasket ensure effective sealing of the housing joints to the outside and meet the criteria of protection class IP65 in accordance with DIN EN 60529/DIN 40050.

With the St. Pauli series, BOXEXPERT would like to offer an enclosure that meets the demand for easy assembly. Optional metric pre-stampings in the lower part of the enclosure offer the user the possibility to lead the connection cables through the enclosure wall to the outside in the quickest way, whereby no additional tools are required. The pre-stampings offer the possibility of using metric cable glands or cable bushings without damaging the housing. The mounting of the internals was also thought of when designing the universal housing. The housing contains various domes for mounting a mounting plate or DIN rail.

The housing cover of the St.Pauli series extends over the complete dimension of the housing. Thus it offers enough surface to carry out a printing, for example by a company logo. The screws are located in the outer corners of the cover. These are captive plastic screws. While self-tapping screws usually wear out the housing thread after repeated opening, the screws of the St.Pauli series are designed for reusability. The captive feature also offers the advantage that they do not fall out of the housing cover even in unfavourable installation situations. Additionally we offer the lids either in grey (RAL7035) or in transparent. If signal lamps or status displays have to be read repeatedly, the transparent housing cover offers the right alternative for this.
