SHEET STEEL CONTROL CABINET TREVA

In mechanical engineering or especially in automation technology, it is often the case that circuits interfere with each other. The immunity to such effects is called electromagnetic compatibility (EMC for short). The most sensible means of counteracting electromagnetic interference is to use shielded cables and to divert the interference currents via the enclosure wall. This is not possible with plastic control cabinets. For this reason, BOXEXPERT offers the Treva sheet steel series as an alternative to the Fleet and Perle plastic enclosures, which provides excellent EMC protection due to the conductivity of the material. Suitable EMC cable glands are also part of our product portfolio.

The Treva series housings are made of cold-rolled steel. They are characterized by their high robustness against external influences. While switch cabinets made of sheet metal are usually susceptible to impacts and physical effects, the BOXEXPERT Treva switch cabinets impress with the hardness of the material and have a maximum impact resistance of IK10. This protects the fixtures from vandalism even in areas accessible to the public. With a protection class of IP66, the housing is also resistant to dust and moisture. The additional hardened polyester paint coating RAL 7035 also optimises corrosion resistance and provides reliable protection against UV radiation.

The Treva enclosure series is equipped with a special sheet steel cable flange as standard. This can be dismantled and thus offers a flexible way of carrying out the wiring of the control cabinet. Due to the foamed seal of the flange plate, it guarantees a protection class of IP66 when screwed together. The separation between the cable flange plate and the housing makes assembly much easier, as cable assembly, as well as drilling for cable glands and cable bushings, can be carried out in a separate process without having to machine the housing itself. The same applies to the supplied mounting plate made of galvanized 2mm thick steel. The plate allows mounting and wiring of the electronic components outside the housing. It can then be mounted in the housing through the lockable swing door. Using the nuts supplied, mounting can be achieved without machining the housing and changing the degree of protection. Optionally, the mounting plate is also available punched for faster mounting.

In addition to the supplied mounting plate and cable flange plate, BOXEXPERT also offers a comprehensive range of optional accessories for the Treva enclosure series. For example, special brackets are available for wall mounting or for pole mounting. The control cabinet can also be equipped with an additional rain cover, a circuit diagram holder or various DIN rails. Also for safety-relevant applications, similar to the ABS series Fleet, the lock can optionally be replaced by a safety lock.
