CABLE JUNCTION BOX HANSE-KPL

The cable junction box of the Hanse-KPL series belongs to the standard of every electrician. Wherever electrical lines have to be brought together, the box can be used. The waterproof junction boxes of the Hanse-KPL series with IP66 protection are made of acylnitrile-buradiene-styrene copolymer (ABS for short) – a halogen-free and UV-resistant plastic of high impact strength (IK07) – and are thus robust against weather influences and temperatures between -25°C to +40°C. The junction box is ideal both for secure cable connections outdoors and in damp rooms. The IP66 rated installation housing always provides effective protection of the internals against dust, contact and water.

For easy wiring of the cables, it is of paramount importance to lead the conductors into and out of the enclosure in the easiest possible way without compromising the protection class, for example by damaging the enclosure wall through drilling. For this reason, the housing wall of the Hanse-KPL cable junction boxes from BOXEXPERT has various metric pre-stampings. Depending on the version, these are sizes from M20 to M50. The pre-stamped holes can be opened by applying light pressure with a screwdriver, eliminating the need to drill into the housing. This offers the advantage that the fitter does not need any further tools to carry out the wiring.

In addition to the metric pre-stamping, suitable sealing membranes are included in the scope of delivery of the outdoor and wet room junction boxes. These are suitable as an alternative to cable glands for cables that are not subject to movement or tensile stress. The sealing membranes are inserted into the holes, the membrane can then be pierced with the cable, special tools are not required. The IP66 protection class of the housing is maintained even when the sealing membranes are used, and the box provides reliable protection of the internals against dust and moisture.

Various pre-drilled holes in the base of the enclosure allow various fittings to be attached without affecting the degree of protection. In this way, cable distributors, luster terminals or even electronic components can be integrated. Terminal blocks are most commonly used with junction boxes. For this reason BOXEXPERT offers the housing option H02 with pre-mounted terminal block. This offers the user the possibility to carry out the wiring without loss of time. The connection terminal is 5-pole and varies depending on the enclosure size from a cable cross-section of approx. 2.5mm² (20A, 400VAC, 3-phase) for the smallest enclosure (BXPKABS888853-H02) to a cross-section of approx. 25mm² (80A, 400VAC, 3-phase) for the largest enclosure of the Hanse series (BXPKABS16020098-H02), as well as cross-sections larger than 35mm² at 250VAC (single-phase).
